You’re All I Want.
By: Lily Haycraft Chapter One.
Dani.
"Dani" I hear a small voice whisper, followed by a light tap on my arm, I try to ignore it, but thirty seconds later, the action and voice repeats itself.
I squint my eyes open, turning my head to the side to see Harmony standing by the edge of the bed with a small smile on her face, I pull the quilt further up my body realising that neither of us got dressed last night.
"Hey cutie what's up?" I ask groggily trying to keep my eyes open.
"I'm hungry" She says quietly so she doesn't wake up Chloe.
"You are?" I ask and she nods.
"Okay, how about we go out for breakfast then, just me and you" I suggest and watch as her eyes light up and she nods her head in rapid speed.
"Alright, can you get yourself dressed?" I ask to which she nods her head again.
"Okay you go get dressed and I'll meet you downstairs" I smile softly.
"Okay" She whispers and tiptoes out of the bedroom and back downstairs.
I let out a sigh of relief and turn to glance at Chloe, glad to see that she is laying on her front, the top of her back barely exposed, so Harmony wouldn't have noticed anyway, I smile and admire Chloe for a few seconds, the way her dark brunette hair fans out around her head on the white pillow, she shifts slightly causing the quilt to move further down her back.
As tempted as I am to kiss along her spine, I resist the urge and slip out of bed, trying to get dressed as quietly as possible.
I quickly write a note for Chloe, letting her know that I have kidnapped her daughter and will be back probably before she wakes up, I smile and leave a gentle kiss on her forehead before leaving the room and heading downstairs, just as Harmony walks out of her room, dressed in a pink dress and white shoes.
"You look beautiful" I smile.
"I couldn't brush my hair" She says holding out the brush for me.
I smile and accept it off of her, bending slightly to brush her loose curls into place.
"Ready to go?" I ask placing the brush down on a small table beside me.
"Yep" She grins and places her hand in mine. I smile and walk out of the villa hand in hand with Harmony.
---
Harmony and I sit across from each other in a small restaurant, waiting for our breakfast.
"Are you going to be moving in with me and mama?" Harmony asks me as she plays with the napkin. "Maybe one day, but not right now" I answer. "Do you want to live with us?" She asks.
"I would love nothing more" I smile softly.
"So why wait?"
Why do kids ask so many questions? They're always so curious.
"Because mama and I need to get to know each other a little bit better" I explain.
"I think it would be good if you moved in"
"Do you? Why's that?" I ask.
"Because you make her happy, and you make me happy, and you're really good at drawing, and if you move in I can have two parents"
My heart melts at her last statement.
"Do you not like just having mama?" I ask curiously. I know that she's upset she doesn't have a dad, and never got the chance to meet him, she is only young but understands a lot for her age.
"I do, but I think it would be cool to have two mummy's" She smiles up at me, and I'm surprised my heart is still functioning right now because it literally feels like it's turned to liquid in my chest. "You want me to be your mummy?" I ask softly. "Is that okay?" She asks shyly, her eyes looking down.
"Of course it is baby, but I think you should talk to your mum about this" I tell her.
"Do you think she will be okay with it?" She asks nervously.
"I'd like to think she would, but you should ask her" I smile.
"Would you be okay with it? If I called you mum?" Just hearing her say that is making me completely turn to mush, the fact that this little girls wants me to be her mum, is killing me here.
"I would love that" I smile biting my bottom lip to hold back the tears in my eyes.
Only this little girl right here could get me this emotional this early in the morning.
"Good" Harmony nods with a small smile on her face.
The waitress walks over with our food and places it down on the table in front of us, Harmony's eyes light up at the bacon on her plate.
"I love bacon" She grins.
"I know you do" I chuckle lightly.
"Can you cut it up for me?" She asks softly. I smile and nod taking her plate and cutting up, her literal plate of bacon and toast for her, before moving it back in front of her.
"I think you eat too much bacon" I say as I watch her finish off the plate, her eyes now on the last piece of bacon left on my plate.
"But bacon is gooood" She drags out with a huge toothy grin.
"You're an awesome kid you know that?" I grin at her.
"Yeah, mama tells me all the time" She
beams.
"I'm sure she does" I smile cutting up my piece of bacon and placing it on her plate.
"Ooo yay, thank you" She grins scooping it up and placing it in her mouth.
"Girl chew it nicely" I tell her.
She just giggles and finishes off her bacon. Once the food is paid for, Harmony and I begin our slow walk back to the villa, her hand placed firmly in mine as she tries to skip as best as she can along beside me.
"Can we go to the beach today?" She asks looking to her right, to see the ocean.
"Yeah baby, we'll get mama ready and drag her back down here" I smile at her.
"Okay" She grins happily.
---
I reenter the villa and see that everyone else is already awake, including Chloe who is sitting on the sofa with a giggling Rosie in her lap, she looks up upon hearing the door opening, a smile breaking out on her face as she spots us.
"Hey" She smiles.
"Hey gorgeous" I grin taking a seat beside her and poking Rosie's cheek softly causing her to giggle. "Hey mama" Harmony grins climbing into my lap.
"Hey princess, did you enjoy your breakfast?" Chloe asks her.
"Yep I had bacon" Harmony nods with a huge grin.
"No way? Really you like bacon?" Chloe says sarcastically.
"Yes mama you know this, gosh you're so silly" Harmony rolls her eyes.
"I'm not silly" Chloe scoffs.
"Are too" Harmony pokes her tongue out.
"I'll steal that" Chloe arches her brow.
Harmony quickly puts her tongue back in her mouth and shakes her head.
"I can still get it" Chloe smirks.
"NEVER" Harmony shouts and darts off of my lap running towards the bedrooms.
"So you kidnapped my daughter" Chloe arched her brow.
"I did indeed, but I brought her back" I grin. "You can kidnap her as many times as you like, as long as you always bring her back" She smiles at me. "I promise to always bring her back to you" I smile leaning in to kiss her softly, but being blocked by a miniature hand touching my lips.
I glance towards Rosie, opening my mouth and taking her fingers between my lips and nibbling on them, causing her to giggle once more and pull her hand back.
"Hey where did you go so early this morning?" My dad asks walking out of the kitchen area. "For breakfast with Harmony" I answer.
"Awww mother daughter bonding" He smiles at me, and I watch Chloe's face for her reaction, but she just smiles.
"Yeah something like that" I smile softly.
"Well unlike you, I made breakfast instead of going out and cheating"
"Well sucks for you then, because I wouldn't want to be cooking for this many people" I chuckle.
"I'm used to it by now, with the amount of family members we have" He s
hrugs his shoulders softly. "Yeah I guess that's true"
"Besides, you should start learning to cook in big portions, you're going to have to take on the role one day" He says to me.
"Hell nah, that role falls onto Chris" I shake my head. "Oh no it doesn't I can't cook for shit" Chris says walking in and sitting beside me.
"Chantel can cook"
"Yeah but the whole point is, that the male takes on the cooking duh, at least in this family anyway" Chris says.
"Uh are you trying to call me a man?" I ask glancing at him.
"Well in your relationship with Chloe, yes I would say that you were the man" Chris nods.
"Why do you come to that conclusion?" I raise my brow.
"Because of just who you are, you're totally the man"
"We don't have gender roles" Chloe speaks up, and I smile at her.
"See" I smirk.
"Okay but who tops?" Chris smirks.
"We both do" I reply and earn a smack on the arm from Chloe.
"What?" I ask.
"He doesn't need to know about that part of our lives" She says.
"He's my brother" I shrug.
Chloe rolls her eyes in response, while my dad just exits the room.
"So what are we doing today?" Chris asks.
"Well Harmony wants to go to the beach, so I said we could" I reply.
"I'm cool with going to the beach, I want to go on the jet skis anyway" Chris grins.
"Oh we keeping the yearly tradition of me beating your ass" I smirk.
"I'm going to win this year" He points at me. "Not gonna happen" I laugh.
"What are we talking about here?" Chloe asks. "Every year, wherever we go, Chris and I hire out jet skis, go out into the middle of the water and line ourselves up, and Taylor or dad is on a jet ski up the other end, the first person to pass them wins basically, and well I haven't lost a round since" I grin. "That's because I always get stuck with the slowest jet ski" Chris scoffs.
"Uh no, they're all the same speed, you just suck" I chuckle.
"Whatever, you coming out on them Chlo?" Chris asks.
"Probably not" She shakes her head.
"What why?" Chris asks.
"Because I'm clumsy on dry land, I don't even want to attempt that" She shakes her head.
"I can take you out on the back of me" I smile at her.
"Maybe"
"Okay, well I’m gonna go get myself ready, and the kids so we can go" Chris grins.
"Have fun"
"Wait, take your kid" Chloe says lifting Rosie up to him.
"Aah yes, I almost forgot she was mine too" He winks jokingly, taking Rosie and leaving us alone in the living room.
"So did you enjoy breakfast alone with my daughter?" Chloe asks turning her body to face me, tucking her legs beneath her.
"Yes I did actually, though there's something I think she wants to talk to you about" I explain.
"Which is what?" She arches her brow.
"It's about us, I told her to talk to you about it" "Hmm okay I'll ask her at the beach later"
"Okay baby" I lean forward and peck her lips before standing up off of the sofa.
"So you coming to get ready to go to the beach?" I ask holding out my hand.
"I guess I am" She smiles taking my hand, I pull her up and we both walk towards our bedroom.
---
Chris, my dad and I are all standing with the jet ski guy, trying to get him to give us a deal, because my dad can never just pay the full price, It's never about the money, he just likes to get things cheaper, he just enjoys haggling with people, though I can't blame him it's actually quite fun.
After finally getting the jet skis, along with the deal of being able to take the speedboat out tomorrow for an hour but for half the price, we walk back towards where everyone else is scattered out across the loungers on the beach, the kids all sitting under an umbrella at the end, playing with the sand.
"Did you sort it?" My mother asks as we reach hearing distance.
"Yep we got four jet skis for the next two hours and a speed boat tomorrow for an hour" My dad grins proud of himself.
"We going out on them now then?" Taylor grins. "Not just yet, he says we gotta wait half hour, they've gotta wait for another group to bring them back in, then they've gotta refill them" Dad explains. "Aah okay, well I'm going for a swim them, babe you coming?" Taylor turns to Robbie, who nods in response.
As if she even had to ask him, he follows her around like a little lost puppy, I chuckle lightly to myself, earning a raised eyebrow from Chloe, I just shake my head in response, blushing slightly at being caught laughing to myself.
As if it were all agreed without being spoken, everyone just sort of got up and headed towards the sea, leaving Chloe, Harmony and myself looking after everyones stuff, I look over my shoulder at everyone, smiling as they all shriek at how cold the water is.
"Go on" Chloe says to me.
"Huh?" I ask.
"Go play with your family Dani" She chuckles. "But"
"Go, I want to talk to Harmony anyway" She says softly, Harmony's eyes quickly dart to mine and I give her a reassuring smile and nod.
"Okay" I run towards the water, picking up Dylan from behind and running into the sea.
Chapter Two.
Chloe.
"So baby, Dani said you wanted to talk to me about something" I say pulling Harmony into my lap. I watch as she nods her head and plays with her fingers, a nervous habit of hers.
"What is it?" I ask.
"Would it be okay if I called Dani mummy too?" Harmony mumbles out, slowly lifting her head so she could see my face.
"Is that what you want?" I ask softly and she nods her head.
"Have you asked Dani this?" I ask her.
"She said that she would love it, but that I should ask you first"
"You think of Dani as your other mummy?" I can't help but smile, my heart warming at the idea of my daughter calling the green eyed woman mummy. "Yes, I asked if she would come and live with us too" She admits shyly.
"What did she say?" I ask, now realising that I'm actually eager to hear the answer and would love for Dani to move in with us, though I do think it's too soon.
"She said maybe one day, so you guys can get to know each other better" She answers.
"But you want us to live together?" I ask and she nods.
"I want us to be a family"
"Aww baby, we are a family" I say hugging her tightly, lifting my head up to see Dani watching us, I wave her over softly and she begins walking back over. "So it's okay if I call Dani mummy?" Harmony asks glancing up at me.
"It's okay with me baby" I nod softly.
"Hey" Dani says sitting down on the end of my lounger.
"Hey mummy" Harmony says shyly glancing towards Dani.
I watch as the older girls eyes go wide, a huge grin breaking out across her face, her eyes connecting with mine, as if asking if it were okay, to which I just nod, my grin matching hers, my heart swelling inside of my chest, I am living for this moment.
"Hey princess" Dani beams back at her, opening her arms for Harmony, who happily climbs into her lap and gives her a big hug.
"Can you take me in the sea?" Harmony grins at her once they have pulled back from the hug.
"Of course I can baby, you coming?" Dani asks directing the last part of the sentence at me. "In a minute" I smile softly.
Dani nods and stands up from the lounger, taking Harmony's hand into her own and walking towards the sea, I smile at the two picking up my camera to snap a picture and capture the moment, it's almost like Dani heard the quiet click, cause she looks over her shoulder at me, a smile on her face as I quickly snap another picture, god she is so incredibly beautiful, how did I get so lucky?
Dani rolls her eyes as I snap another picture, before she turns her head back to face forward, I giggle slightly to myself, leaning back on my lounger and watching as Dani and my daughter play in the shallow water, I could definitely get used to t
his.
Chapter Three.
Dani.
I flinched as I felt water dripping onto my skin that was being heated by the sun, I open my eyes to see Chris standing over me with a huge lopsided grin. "Do you mind?" I grumble at him.
"Nope, come on we're going out on the jet skis" He continues to grin.
"And you couldn't have told me that in a nicer way?" I ask sitting up and wiping the droplets of water on my stomach.
"Where's the fun in that?" He asks.
"I tried to stop him" Chloe says from beside me, laying on her front reading her book.
"You didn't do a very good job of that baby" "Hey I never said I did a good job, just that I tried" She shrugs.
"How exactly did you try?" I ask.
"Chris, no, don't" Chloe says in a monotone voice. "Wow babe, you're my knight in shining armour" I roll my eyes standing up from the sun lounger.
"I know" She says looking up at me with a small smile.
"You going to come out on the back of me?" I ask.
"I didn't know lesbians could do things from the back" Chris says.
"You did not just say that" Chantel says to him. "I'm just saying"
"I really don't know how you put up with him for so many years" Chantel says with a sigh.
"I don't know how you're putting up with him now"
"Eh his matured slightly since we had Rosie" Chantel shrugs.
"Slightly being the operative word in that
sentence" I scoff.
"I'm standing right here you know" Chris says placing one hand on his hip.
"What's your point Madonna?" I ask.
"Mum couldn't I have had brothers?" Chris asks. "Honey Dani is like having a brother" My mum answers him.
"Uh Excuse you"
"She kind of does have a point" Taylor says joining in.
"The hell is that supposed to mean?"
"Honey, you played baseball for four years, and you literally dressed like a boy for most of your
adolescent years, I may as well have had two sons"
"What is this? Pick on Dani day?" I grumble. "Baby we aren't picking on you, we're just speaking the truth" My mum says standing up and patting me on the back softly.
"Whatever"
"Are you guys coming or what?" My dad shouts over from where he is standing by the jet skis.
